Accessibility statement
Last updated: October 3, 2026.
The Fibromyalgia Center is working to make its website accessible to people with disabilities, in the belief that everyone deserves equal access to information.
We aim to follow the accessibility principles in the WCAG 2.1 guidelines and the Israeli Standard (IS 5568), and we are working toward them as the site develops. This statement is not a declaration of full conformance with any standard. The most recent check (October 3, 2026) was done against local content and sample data in the development environment — not the live site — and included an automated scan and separate manual testing of two distinct text-enlargement mechanisms: the site's own floating accessibility menu, and the browser's own zoom (two separate checks, not just resizing the window).
Accommodations made include: keyboard navigation was tested across the site's interactive components, with a visible focus indicator on each one; the expandable components (such as the services list and the FAQ) are built in a way intended to support keyboard navigation and screen readers; alternative text (alt) is required on every image uploaded to the content-management system, including article images and the clinic photo; text direction is correct in both Hebrew (right-to-left) and English (left-to-right); and a floating accessibility-adjustments menu lets you increase or decrease text size, enable a high-contrast mode, underline links, emphasize headings, reduce motion, and use a larger cursor — each adjustable independently and resettable at any time.
Known limitations: no technical check has been performed using screen-reader software (such as NVDA, JAWS, or VoiceOver), and no test has been performed with real people who use a screen reader or other assistive technology. No external certified accessibility expert audit has been performed. There may be parts of the site that are not fully accessible and have not yet been identified by the testing done so far.
The site is still being built and tested on an ongoing basis. We are working to continually improve accessibility, including fixing issues identified through further testing or through visitors' own reports.
If you experience any accessibility difficulty on this site, we would welcome you contacting us at info@fibromyalgia-center.co.il, and we will work to address it as soon as possible.
